Roosevelt Collection Shops Announces November 2024 opening of Illinois’ First Play Street Museum
Chicago’s Roosevelt Collection Shops, 150 W. Roosevelt Rd., recently announced a new opening within the South Loop retail, entertainment and lifestyle center. Play Street Museum, an interactive children’s museum and indoor play area, will open this November, serving as Illinois’ first location of the franchise concept.
Play Street Museum seeks to offer visitors with a wildly imaginative self-navigated play experience, empowering young minds to discover, learn, and engage at their own pace, all while giving caregivers a more relaxed, hands-off experience. Designed to encourage independence, exploration and creativity at every turn, the new space is best suited for children eight years old and under. Play Street Museum will also provide an ideal venue for birthday parties, special events and private play sessions.
The space will feature various themed play areas including a grocery store, doctor’s office and more to catapult children’s imaginations to new heights while fostering hands-on learning and imaginative role play. Each themed space seeks to encourage children to explore on their own, without the need for adult guidance, cultivating independence and confidence. From building blocks and painting to playing musical instruments, creating pottery, or exploring the ever-popular slime lab, Play Street Museum will offer a variety of activities to keep children intrigued and entertained.
“We are thrilled to be joining the Roosevelt Collection Shops as we make our debut in Chicago.” said Crystal Allen, Owner and Operator of Play Street Museum South Loop. “Our space will offer children and their families a great place to spend time making memories together. As a mom of two children, I know that opportunities to get out of the house, explore, imagine, discover and create are crucial for young minds and we will be providing experiences to accomplish just that. Not only is our experience full of fun activities for kids, but the clean environment and manageable size mean that parents and caregivers can relax while their children play. The size of the space is perfect and does away with the days of the need to constantly chase your kiddos around. We look forward to welcoming everyone that walks through our doors for years to come.”
